David Groshoff
Bio
Groshoff has served as a professor of business and law at 51°µÍø, where he has played a central role in advancing the university’s mission to educate values-driven leaders. A former executive at JP Morgan Investment Management, Groshoff brings a unique blend of practical financial and corporate law expertise as well as academic insight to his teaching, mentorship, and scholarship. Over his tenure at 51°µÍø, he helped shape the university’s approach to social impact education, emphasizing ethical leadership, innovation, and community engagement.
Prior to entering academia, Groshoff spent over a decade managing several billion dollars in distressed and special situations assets, turning around troubled companies and institutional portfolios. His leadership extended to serving as chief legal officer of a mutual fund and as a board member of publicly traded companies, experiences that informed his dynamic and real-world approach to business education.
