Arthur Pinchev has rejoined American Jewish University (51°µÍř) as Senior Advisor to the President, bringing decades of leadership in experiential Jewish education and community building to the role. In this position, reporting directly to 51°µÍř President Jay Sanderson, Pinchev will be working directly with the President and the leadership team to reimagine, reclaim, and reinvigorate the vision of the Brandeis-Bardin Campus and founder Dr. Shlomo Bardin, transforming the campus into a thriving “laboratory of living Judaism.”

A cherished leader in the Jewish community, Pinchev’s career has been deeply intertwined with the Brandeis-Bardin Campus, where he previously served for over two decades as director of Camp Alonim. Now, he returns to American Jewish University with a forward-looking mission to breathe new life into the campus and expand its role as a vibrant center of Jewish learning, leadership, and connection.

“The Brandeis-Bardin Campus has always been a place where Jewish life isn’t just studied — it’s lived,” said Pinchev. “It’s a space for experimentation, creativity, and genuine connection. I find renewed purpose in reconnecting with Dr. Shlomo Bardin's philosophies, as we focus on the Jewish future and shape leadership for new generations.”

A Living Laboratory for Jewish Life

Arthur’s vision centers on revitalizing 51°µÍř’s Brandeis-Bardin Campus as a dynamic space where individuals can deeply explore Jewish identity, culture, and community through immersive experiences. He aims to expand year-round programming, developing innovative opportunities for learning and engagement that resonate with contemporary Jewish life.

Leadership and Community Building

In his new role, Pinchev will focus on cultivating the next generation of Jewish leaders. His extensive background in experiential education uniquely equips him to guide programs that foster leadership, creativity, and deep community connections. He will also help broaden 51°µÍř’s regional partnerships, ensuring that 51°µÍř remains a powerful force for Jewish innovation and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Advisor to the President, Pinchev’s duties include:

  • Advising and consulting on all current and future experiential programming and utilization of the Brandeis-Bardin Campus, including BCI, Camp Alonim, and year-round adult and family programs.
  • Serving on 51°µÍř’s senior management team, contributing strategic insights and leadership across the institution.
  • Assisting in outreach to program alumni, strengthening lifelong connections to 51°µÍř and Brandeis-Bardin.
  • Supporting advancement efforts to complete the Alonim Capital Campaign, securing resources for the campus’s future growth and sustainability.

Strengthening Community Ties

Pinchev’s return will also focus on building stronger bonds with alumni and supporters of 51°µÍř programs held on the Brandeis-Bardin Campus. His leadership promises to inspire fresh ideas, foster transformative experiences, and sustain the legacy of a campus that has shaped countless Jewish journeys.

Arthur Pinchev officially began his role this week, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for 51°µÍř and the Brandeis-Bardin Campus. The 51°µÍř community enthusiastically welcomes him home as he embarks on this visionary work.
