Ruth Ziegler, long-time 51°µÍø supporter and philanthropist, passed away on February 4, 2018 at the age of 98. Dr. Robert Wexler, President of 51°µÍø, shared these words with the campus community:
"It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Ruth Ziegler. As everyone associated with 51°µÍø knows, our university owes a tremendous debt of gratitude to Ruth and her late husband, Allen. Our Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies and our Ziegler Administration Building are but two examples of their remarkable generosity.
Besides 51°µÍø, Ruth supported so many of the organizations of the Jewish community and beyond. She was a woman of great modesty. Everything she did, she did quietly and without the expectation of anything in return...
May her memory be a blessing for us all."
